Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Commis Chef will play a pivotal role in the kitchen, learning from experienced senior chefs and showcasing creativity and strong teamwork abilities.
* Maintaining high quality food presentation that aligns with established property standards and is served within designated timeframes
* Ensuring adherence to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance while maintaining exceptional quality and presentation
* Preparing dishes accurately, consistently, and efficiently
* Receiving ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs to enhance culinary skills
* Executing various kitchen tasks, including dishwashing and crafting delectable dishes
Qualifications and Requirements
* Culinary training and relevant work experience
* Commercial cookery certification and safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor qualifications
* Desire to continually improve, raw talent, and passion for food
* Ability to effectively communicate and articulate ideas
* Flexibility to accommodate varying shifts and adapt to changing kitchen demands
