About The Role
On-Call Firefighters are responsible for a wide range of duties including community fire safety work, attending fires and other emergencies, providing community education on fire prevention and safety, and collaborating with other emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Community Fire Safety Work: Work closely with local communities to promote fire safety and prevent fires.
* Emergency Response: Respond promptly to fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
* Community Education: Educate school children, senior citizens, and local businesses on fire prevention and safety.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with emergency services such as NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW Police to ensure effective emergency response.
About You
To be successful in this role, you need to be team-oriented, community-focused, adaptable, reliable, and available across weekdays and weekends, including day and night work. You must live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.
