Overview
China Airlines is seeking a skilled and motivated full time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Melbourne Airport team. This role provides the prospect to work on a modern fleet of Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft while ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Carry out transit, overnight, and pre-flight inspections of avionics systems.
- Perform airworthiness certification and release-to-service procedures.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical and avionics-related defects.
- Conduct system testing, functional checks, and software updates.
- Execute engine run-ups and support APU fuel conservation measures.
- Perform aircraft towing operations and preliminary structural/avionics inspections.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation in line with CASA and company standards.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and ground handling staff in avionics safety and procedures.
About You
- Hold Certificate IV Aeroskills qualification (Mechanical or Avionics) (or equivalent).
- Experience with Airbus and/or Boeing wide-body aircraft at least 3 years.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.
- Flexible to work on a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Shall be familiar with CASA Australia aviation regulations
- Shall be familiar with CAA Republic of China (Taiwan ROC) aviation regulations
