Property Manager
Executive Level 1
Salary $127,562 - $149,038 (Plus superannuation)
ASIS is Australia's overseas secret intelligence collection agency. Its mission is to protect and promote

Role Summary:
Property Managers lead dynamic high performing property teams across the functional areas of
strategy, engagement, planning, project delivery and facilities management. Property managers
will also work as part of the Change Programme including in project management.
The current roles are as follows
- Manager, Property Projects and Delivery (M/PROPPD), will be responsible for managing
complex property related projects, with an emphasis on construction, refurbishment and
fit out within time, budget and quality standards, both overseas and within Australia.
M/PROPPD will formulate project plans, provide oversight and direction throughout the
project from concept design to completion and have the ability to foster and maintain close
working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- The Manager of Property Strategy and Engagement (M/PROPSE) will manage a specialist
team that is responsible for Property Strategy and Engagement for the ASIS Property
Portfolio. This role will lead the continuing maturity of property strategy and engagement
including the introduction, development and implementation of new policies and
processes; along with the additional policy development and governance work required to
provide clear recommendations to the senior executive for decision making. The
incumbent will understand the current and emerging property requirements of the Service
and contribute to the development of an integrated property strategy and delivery plan to
meet these requirements.
- Manager of Property Strategy Implementation and Transition (M/PROPSIT) will manage a
specialist team in the implementation of initiatives to support the Property Strategy and
to deliver the Property initiatives required to deliver the ongoing change to the workforce.
This role will contribute to the work required to prepare the Service for the change
required to modernise the way we work and utilise accommodation so that it is fit for

purpose. This work will be undertaken closely with other property teams to implement
and encourage/educate staff on the benefits of adopting the method, and provide
support, evaluation and updates to the senior executive.
- Manager Property Remediation Projects (M/PROPREM) is responsible for planning,
management and completion of Property related defects as identified by Physical
Security in its completed Physical Security Inspection Reports. The purpose of this role is
to develop and manage the ASIS Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
remediation programme which aims to improve the security of all our facilities and to
work towards full ongoing compliance and accreditation across the footprint. This role is
responsible for the development and management of internal recruitment process to fill
supporting project roles and for the development and management of the project budget
and all procurements and logistics.
Property Managers will have strong representation, engagement and interpersonal skills,
including the ability to develop and maintain a network of internal and external partners and
resources across the AIC, Government and industry, coupled with effective written
communication skills.
These roles require a demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and remain abreast of
industry developments, be self-motivated, work effectively and responsively within a multi
- disciplinary environment, and demonstrate effective, empathetic, outcomes focussed leadership.
These roles may require some domestic and overseas travel which may include a requirement to
quarantine due to COVID 19. Staff in the Property Branch will have an opportunity to express their
interest in supporting property project delivery (major and minor) both domestic and overseas
through requests for expression of interest (EOI). This role will require flexibility to support the
wider branch to take on other duties as required, particularly in relation to filling gaps in priority
functions where other officers are travelling.
