About the role
Seeking a motivated and experienced Manager - Tree Lopper to join the team at Tree Change NQ in Townsville, Queensland. This is a Full Time Position. You will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of tree lopping work as well as managerial tasks, including but not limited to the following:
What you'll be doing
* Safely remove and trim trees using appropriate equipment and techniques
* Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including chainsaws, wood chippers, and power tools
* Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
* Support the wider team in leading them to completing projects in a timely and efficient manner to achieve seamless and professional project execution
* Conduct on site assessments to evaluate tree health and recommend appropriate care/maintenance solutions
* Prepare detailed and accurate quotes for both residential and commercial clients
* Provide expert guidance and knowledge of tree maintenance, removal and safety measures
* Monitor crew performance, job progress and ensure services meet client expectations
* Help Train and mentor all team members
* Ensure equipment, machinery and vehicles are maintained and available for operational use
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in tree lopping, landscaping, as well as experience in a managerial role
* Minimum 3-4 years of tree lopping experience required
* Minimum 5+ years of managerial experience required
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* White Card, Blue Card and Driver's Licensed Workers
* HR (heavy rigid) class driver's licence required
* Proficient in the use of chainsaws, wood chippers, and other landscaping equipment
* Commitment to safety and a strong safety-first mindset
* A Team Leader attitude
* Certificate III in Arboriculture is preferred, but not essential
