An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Supervisor within a WA State Government department.
**Your new company**
We have partnered with a large government department to assist in their search for an experienced Accounts Team Leader. Supervising 4 accounts payable officers, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating accounts activities whilst also assisting in accounts payable functions of the department.
The role is based in East Perth, conveniently located next to public transport train line. This is a 6 month temporary assignment with extension possibilities. Ideally you will be immediately available and able start as soon as possible.
**Your new role**
As an Accounts Team Leader, you will coordinate workflows and manage performance outputs of accounts officers. You responsibilities will also include:
- Coordinate and lead accounts officers. Including work planning and management of performance
- Facilitate training and development
- Ensure critical deadlines and period end processes are met
- Responsible for workflow of invoices within Accounts Payable functions
- Check accuracy of invoice data and correct discrepancies
- Reconciliations
- Manage documentation
- Prepare AP KPI information
- Undertake compliance audits
**What you'll need to succeed**
Previous experience in supervising accounts officers and a strong background in accounts payable is essential, as is:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance (or working towards one)
- Demonstrate relevant accounting knowledge
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication
