About the Role: Communications Specialist
The Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering corporate communications strategies and creating content to support business objectives. This role will assist in building a strong regional reputation, developing brand awareness and understanding.
This position will coordinate communication initiatives to build a cohesive workforce across multiple locations. It will also contribute to the development of content for various communication channels and support project teams to achieve positive communications outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Generate, prepare and contribute content for internal and external communication channels.
* Develop and/or manage production of visually engaging communications and marketing materials.
* Plan content, write copy and contribute to the production of corporate publications.
* Contribute to communications planning across media, marketing, design and digital.
* Collaborate with other staff in the development and delivery of internal and external communication plans.
* Report, analyse and present results of communication efforts.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing or equivalent are desirable.
* A minimum of five (5) years' relevant industry experience in a public relations, communications or related role.
* Experience in digital communications for external and internal audiences.
* Experience in using content management systems and social media platforms.
* Experience in campaign development and event coordination.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation.
* Intermediate to high level of skill in using the Microsoft Office suite of software.
* Demonstrated understanding of corporate communications tools including those for web, social and print mediums.
* Intermediate level of skill in using Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and flexibly, as well as cooperatively as part of a team.
