About the role:
* Provide expert engineering support on development applications, infrastructure planning and operational works.
* Assess, manage and oversee development applications to ensure compliance with planning, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.
* Liaise with asset custodians and stakeholders to deliver practical engineering solutions that meet legislative and community needs.
* Oversee subdivision, infrastructure, and development construction, ensuring assets meet Council's standards and are fit for purpose.
* Contribute to the maintenance of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) and related infrastructure planning projects.
* Provide advice on strategic land use planning and participate in the development of policies, manuals, and standards.
To be successful you must have the following:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (mandatory).
* High-level knowledge of engineering requirements relating to roads, water, sewer, waste, park and drainage infrastructure.
* Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Local government or related industry experience (highly regarded).
* RPEQ accreditation (desirable).
