 
        
        Overview Position Status: Contract Position Type: Full-time Location: Horsham, Victoria Salary: $250k package (inclusive of statutory 12% super & vehicle)Maximum Term: 2 Years Closing Date: Sunday 28 September About the Position Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for driving the organisational vision, strategy, and growth potential. Key focuses include building organisational and individual capacity, providing effective leadership to the organisation in alignment with strategic plans and for exploring potential partnerships and opportunities for growth to drive the organisation forward.
In addition, through proactive relationship building with the community, the CEO will achieve increased community and member engagement with the organisation. This role demands a strong professional leader with capability to drive strategy and planning to ensure the Barengi Gadjin Land Council is responsive to, and informed by, its Strategic Plan and broader Country Plan. You are a proven, forward-thinking, and empathetic leader who champions safety, for yourself and others, and consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership capability. Key Requirements Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day operations of a diverse organisation at executive level with the ability to ensure accountability and effective coordination across staff, community and stakeholders. Deep understanding of Aboriginal governance, corporate governance and general management practices within Aboriginal organisations and Community. Experience in strategic financial management, sustainable enterprise development and driving organisational growth. Proven ability to drive organisational priorities through the Country Plan and the Strategic Plan. Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to speak and interpret within the two worlds. The ability to inspire trust and embed cultural integrity in all aspects of Community and leadership. Mandatory Requirements There are no mandatory qualifications required for the role; however, relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
