We are looking for a dynamic National Workforce Planning and Optimisation Manager on full time basis based in Macquarie Park to work with State Logistics Operations and People and Culture teams to enable Metcash to source and retain the best front-line workforce across our DCs. This is a rare opportunity to define strategy and implement consistent processes, systems and key metrics for DC labour workforce planning and scheduling. The role will support our Food and Liquor divisions to achieve continuous productivity improvement, optimise labour costs and establish Metcash as an employer of choice for front-line team members. This role has direct reporting line into the Head of Logistics. What you'll do Work with a passionate team of Logistics and People professionals to define and deploy strategy and tools that will enable Metcash to source the right front-line workforce: Contribute to the strategy for labour attraction, retention, scheduling and performance management. Deploy leading practice as product and process owner for operational/labour planning processes, systems and improvements: Work with operations teams to lead development of fit for purpose workforce planning and optimisation processes and systems from medium term planning through to digital platform for self-service staff rostering. Pilot and test new and enhancements to current processes: Coordinate pilots of new capability with DCs to trial, learn and improve processes, then deploy across the network. Build capability to leverage data and analytics to support for performance across DCs: Leverage existing reporting infrastructure (EIM, Power BI) to establish standard data and reporting suites for use across sites to measure and manage workforce performance Set data quality standards across workforce planning and integrated or related systems (eg payroll) to ensure availability of accurate and timely information for workforce planning and performance management Champion knowledge sharing among DC roles: Build a community of practice amongst DC personnel involved in workforce planning to share best practice, skills development and problem solving.
