POSITION DESCRIPTION – ASSISTANT STORE
MANAGER
To support R.M.Williams whilst at work and outside of hours.
* To assist the Store Manager in running the store in a profitable and morale-building fashion.
* To provide training, guidance and support to all staff, where required.
Responsibilities:
Staff Management
* Participating in regular monthly staff training meetings and ensuring all staff have adequate product knowledge and customer service skills.
* Maintaining staff motivation.
* Instilling the ethos of ‘Best Possible Service’.
* Ensuring smooth and effective daily running of the store when the Store Manager is not rostered on.
* Assisting with the monitoring of staff budgets.
* Maintaining floor gridding plans for each shift with junior staff members.
Personal
* Actively selling product on the shop floor.
* Actively participating in all company promotions/activities, as required.
* Report writing when required by the Store Manager.
* Maintaining customer relations.
* Maintaining a high level of goodwill with any person that may directly or indirectly affect the success of the store.
* Supporting fully all Company and Retail initiatives and ensuring the smooth and profitable running of the store and showing support for all retail and company policies and procedures.
* Assisting in the attainment of achieving budgeted and personal bonus targets.
