Senior Educational Technology Project Manager / Consultant

We work with our clients as partners to design and implement flexible, robust and reliable Learning Management Systems (LMSs) and other educational technology applications such as xAPI, LXPs, TXPs, LCMSs, virtual classrooms, social learning and ePortfolio systems. We also work on our own internal management systems and automation scripting frameworks.

The role
You will work collaboratively with client-partners and other Androgogues, providing high quality support and services for Androgogic’s client-partners and their educational technology applications and services, on the journey from project deployment to operational maturity and service enhancement. Initial placement for this position is project managing a large, high ceremony Federal Government Androgogic client-partner with complex requirements.
Depending on Androgogic's requirements over time, your focus may include:
- A portfolio of specific client-partners, based on client need, geographical area, and/or an established vertical such as Health, Government, Finance, Membership, VET, etc. In the first instance this is expected to be working with a key Androgogic client-partner.
- Working collaboratively with other Androgogues to engage with multiple client-partners in response to service requests and Androgogic service delivery priorities
- Joining a team to deploy an ed tech system for a new client-partner
- Development and continuous improvement of Androgogic’s tools to support client-partners in and towards operational maturity
As a member of the team, you will plan, deliver, manage and improve assigned elements of Androgogic’s client-partner engagements, such as:
- Building rapport and confidence with client-partner stakeholders, with a strategic, quality focused approach
- Planning roadmaps and pursuing opportunities to provide additional services to existing client-partners
- Scoping requirements, business analysis, documentation and managing delivery of educational technology service requests including change requests, usage advice, system upgrades and implementation of recent features consistent with Androgogic’s best practices
- Running workshops and meetings both remotely and occasionally on-site with client-partners
- Drive end to end delivery of ed tech projects from initiation and planning, through deployment, configuration and testing, to go live and handover
- Project management including scheduling, running meetings, preparing agendas and status reports, and resolving project issues
- Resolving and/or ensuring the resolution of complex client-partner support requests escalated from the frontline support desk, exercising technical and functional expertise in Androgogic educational technologies
- Manage elements of Androgogic’s client-partner relationships such as account management, analysis and problem solving, planning, documentation, support management and commercial matters
- Demonstrate Androgogic ed tech products and services to existing and prospective client-partners
- Engage with Androgogic user communities and support resources, developing and disseminating best practice approaches to client-partner requirements
- Providing an ed tech perspective on strategic decision making, selection of internal systems, client-partner proposals, and other business matters requiring ed tech expertise
- Undertaking ongoing training in and awareness of, and comply with, the policies and procedures of the Androgogic (Integrated Management System)
- Contributing to Androgogic's ethics and culture
- Conforming to Androgogic policies and procedures including undertaking ongoing training in and awareness of, and complying with the policies and procedures of the Androgogic IMS
This is predominantly a work from home position, with a requirement to work onsite at an Australian Defence force base on an as needed basis (our expectation is that this would average 1 day per week).
Your experience
You have detailed experience with online learning systems ideally including Totara and/or Moodle, and related technologies
You have previous experience liaising with client-partners and managing accounts
About you
You have high level project management skills and the flexibility to adapt these to work within Androgogic's methodology supported by Androgogic's systems
You have excellent communication skills including the ability to lead client-partners towards Androgogic’s recommended best practices
You have business analysis skills including the ability to elicit, analyse, prioritise and document requirements (in Androgogic templates)
You have strong troubleshooting and triage skills
You can work remotely (from home); You are self-motivated, proactive and able to prioritise and time manage
You are available to work on site a client-partner location(s) variably as needed, with an expectation that this would be an average of 1 day per week for the initial role
You can work after hours from time to time for project management of deployments, upgrades and other change requests
It would also be great, but not mandatory, if you have:
- Knowledge of a range of other Educational Technologies such as LCMSs, LRSs and virtual classrooms
- Relevant experience in the Educational Technology space, as an LMS administrator, and/or knowledge of a range of Educational Technologies such as Totara, Moodle, LCMSs, virtual classrooms, ePortfolios, SMSs and authoring tools.
- Online learning-related qualifications
- Education-related experience in any or all of government, health, HE, VET, corporate and finance sectors
- Familiarity with online learning standards
- Software testing experience
- Other IT-related skills
Some things to note
In order to apply for this position, you must either have a current NV1 AGSVA Government Clearance or have the ability to achieve a clearance at that level (basically be a trustworthy Australian citizen). You must therefore also hold or be in the process of receiving Australian Citizenship in order to meet this requirement.
Successful candidates will need to undergo National Police and Working with Children Checks immediately upon successful selection.
This position has some requirements to travel to represent Androgogic or attend company events. In all such cases approved expenses are paid in advance by Androgogic or reimbursed.
