Registered Nurse - Mental Health (Ward 3C – General Adult In-patient)

Ward 3C is a 20-bed unit (4-bed High Dependency Unit and 16-bed General Acute) in a new, purpose-built facility designed with safety and care delivery in mind.
The unit operates under a trauma-informed care approach and the recovery model, providing high-quality care to patients with various mental health conditions.
Positions available: Permanent full-time and part-time roles with 12-hour shifts on a rotating roster.
There are opportunities for professional development and career progression, with mentorship and support from senior staff.
As a Safewards Ward, we focus on reducing restrictive practices and support ongoing learning and career development for nursing staff.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred, evidence-based care
Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, Graduates and Students
Work within scope of practice and demonstrate clinical competencies
Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes, including recognition and timely response to patient deterioration
Work as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, manage own workload and personal well-being
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA

Salary is based on years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, up to a rate of $49.79 per hour depending on experience.
Applicants may be required to provide a current (within 12 months) National Police check and a NSW Working with Children's Check, and proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement for patient contact roles.
