* The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine and beverage service, ensuring that each pairing perfectly complements the dishes in our Italian fine-dining menu.
* This full-time role involves working primarily across Monday to Saturday, with a focus on enhancing the guest experience through informed recommendations, accurate ordering, and seamless table management.
* The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of wine knowledge, including regional varietals, tasting notes, and food and wine pairing principles. They will be able to present menus and beverage lists with confidence and clarity, offering expert advice to enhance the dining experience.
* Key responsibilities include presenting menus and beverage lists, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages with precision, opening bottles, pouring wines, and supporting the sommelier and cellar team as needed.
* The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring tables to ensure seamless service, topping up beverages, clearing used items promptly, resetting and arranging tables between services, and operating point-of-sale systems.
* In addition, they will be expected to provide expert wine pairing recommendations tailored to the seasonal menu and individual guest preferences, manage and maintain the wine list, oversee cellar operations, conduct staff training, and support overall guest experience.
* The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable professional who is passionate about fine wine and can communicate their expertise to guests and colleagues alike.

* As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will contribute to the daily smooth operation of the restaurant, including end of service tasks, clearing tables, returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen, collecting payment for sales, operating the POS and cash register, and removing empty bottles and used glasses.
