Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to help make a difference to the lives of people with a disability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a person‐centred approach. Daily routine varies based on the client: assisting with outings such as beach trips, movies, or games; attending medical appointments; keeping company at home with a cup of tea. Work is exciting and varied.
Requirements
* Own a fully insured, reliable vehicle
* International or current police check (within 6 months)
* Cert III in Disability or above, or equivalent experience
* Current Working with Children check
* First aid/CPR certificates (current)
* Full and clean Australian driver's licence
* Be punctual, reliable and flexible
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Empathetic, proactive with genuine interest in this field
* Ability to self‐supervise and remain calm at times of crisis
* Right to live and work in Australia
Job Details
Job Type: Casual
Salary: $32.56 – $39.00 per hour
Schedule: Afternoon, Day, Evening, Morning, Night shifts; Monday to Friday; Public holidays; Rotating roster; Shift work; Weekend availability.
