Purpose of the Role
The Maintenance Fitter – Industrial Maintenance Services. The role is responsible for delivering efficient and reliable maintenance across plant, equipment and facilities, including preventative, corrective, emergency and minor project works within a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment within a production facility
* Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring materials and resources are available
* Diagnose faults, investigate issues and implement effective mechanical solutions
* Provide technical advice and support to internal teams, including input into quotes and reports
* Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant codes, standards and site procedures
* Maintain accurate records, including maintenance reporting and compliance documentation
* Support asset management systems and contribute to performance targets and KPIs
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth operations
* Participate in on‐call rosters and attend to after‐hours breakdowns when required
* Maintain a safe working environment in line with workplace health and safety requirements
Key Skills and Experience
* Experience in a maintenance fitting role within a production or industrial environment
* Strong ability to manage competing priorities across preventative, reactive and project work
* Solid fault‐finding and problem‐solving capability across mechanical systems
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Experience liaising with contractors and stakeholders at all levels
* Competent using Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems
Qualifications & Requirements
* Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter / Fitting & Turning) or equivalent
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
* Ability to work across multiple sites and varying shifts
Highly Regarded
* Working at Heights, Confined Space, LVR/CPR
* Steam competencies or Boiler Licence
