Personal Care Worker (Carer) - Full-time, Part-time & Casual
Pioneer Village, operated by the Eyre Peninsula Old Folks Home Inc, is located in picturesque Port Lincoln with a relaxed country lifestyle. We are a community-based 74-bed residential aged care facility situated at the southern tip of Eyre Peninsula in Port Lincoln, South Australia. As a primary provider of residential care and dementia services for the aged of the Southern Eyre Peninsula, we provide quality care and services that maintain and respect residents' individuality and dignity.
We are a Public Benevolent Institution, allowing employees to salary sacrifice up to $15,899 per annum TAX FREE and receive an entertainment card worth $2,650 per annum TAX FREE each FBT year. Casual loadings and shift and weekend penalties are paid in addition to the base rate. The Home operates 24/7, providing regular opportunities to work shifts and weekends.

Recent new Personal Care Workers (engaged in the last 12 months) would have earned an average of $83,683 if employed full-time for a full year and opted for full-time hours, with the lowest earning $73,531 and the highest $93,020.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate Personal Care Worker to join our team. You will collaborate with other carers and nursing staff to deliver quality care plans for residents. Responsibilities include providing care that promotes independence, assisting with daily activities such as showering, eating, cleaning, and social interaction. Maintaining a safe, clean environment in compliance with infection control and safe work practices is essential. Duties
* Provide care to elderly residents as per care plan
* Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment
* Observe and report changes in resident health and behavior
* Liaise with medical professionals and nursing staff
* Engage in social interaction with residents
Skills and Experience
* Must have a Certificate III in Aged Care, individual support, or an equivalent qualification
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Previous aged care experience is highly regarded
