The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists to join a team of Youth Development Coaches, working out of Canberra's first Education First Youth (EFY) Foyer. The Youth Development Coach(es) (YDC) – Woden Education First Youth Foyer, play a central role in delivering Canberra's first Education First Youth Foyer, operated in partnership with the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT).

Working within an Advantaged Thinking practice framework, Youth Development Coaches build strong coaching relationships with young people aged 16–24 who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The role supports young people to engage in education, develop life skills, build confidence, and pursue pathways to employment and independence.

Youth Development Coaches work as part of a 24/7 residential team to create a safe, structured and aspirational environment where young people are supported to achieve their goals across education, employment, wellbeing, social connection and independent living.

About Us:

About You:

The ideal person we are looking for has:

* Relevant qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Education or a related field, and/or significant equivalent experience.

Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check.

You must also hold:

* A current driver's licence, and
* A Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT) and/or NSW Working with Children Check (role dependant)
