The Role
You'll sit at the centre of how Our Client delivers value. Working closely with a Contracts & Submissions team, you'll lead the development of high-quality tenders and quotes across Defence and Commonwealth opportunities — while working directly with SMEs and Indigenous businesses to shape their responses. This is part writer, part advisor, part coordinator.

What You'll Be Doing
Tender Development
* Write, edit and coordinate tenders, quotes and capability statements
* Turn technical SME input into clear, structured and persuasive responses
* Ensure submissions align to evaluation criteria and remain fully compliant
* Manage timelines, documentation and version control
Working with SMEs
* Partner with small and Indigenous businesses to shape strong submissions
* Guide them on structure, win themes and positioning
* Help lift their understanding of Government procurement
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with Commonwealth and Defence stakeholders to clarify requirements
* Coordinate Q&A, compliance checks and submission refinement
* Support light-touch commercial and contract discussions
Internal Contribution
* Work with the team to prioritise opportunities and allocate effort
* Improve templates, tools and submission quality across the board
About You
You'll do well here if you:
* Write clearly, concisely and with purpose
* Understand Government or Defence environments
* Have exposure to Commonwealth procurement (DSS, ICTPA, BuyICT, etc.)
* Can take complex requirements and simplify them
* Are organised and calm under deadline pressure
* Build strong, trusted relationships quickly
* Care about producing high-quality work
Tender writing or procurement experience helps, but strong writing + strong people skills is what really matters.
