The Governance, Assurance and Secretariat unit works under the Finance and Assurance team of Corporate Group. The unit supports Comcare through:
- Providing secretariat services for the Audit and Risk Committee, Operations Committee and Performance, Compliance and Engagement Committee.
- Providing frameworks and support for governance and assurance including guidance materials and training.
- Managing the delivery of internal audit services.
- Supporting the CFO and COO with meeting their obligations under the relevant legislation and reporting requirements.
The Assistant Director, Assurance and Compliance is responsible for developing and implementing Comcare's Assurance Framework and overseeing compliance activities in line with the requirements of the _Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013_ (PGPA Act).
