About The Role: ( Home Care Community/ Residential Aged Care)
* You will play a vital role in the aged care industry providing compassionate support and assistance to residents with their daily living needs.
* Your care helps improve the quality of life for older Australians every day via assistance with medication administration, transfers and ambulation, personal care, meal preparation and domestic assistance.
* Interacting with the residents and their families in a friendly, helpful and positive manner by providing social and moral support with companionship.
* Following individual care plans, completing documentation as per individual organisations' policies and procedures.
* Community access by supporting clients in accessing appointments or recreational activities.
About You:
* Values – Passionate and caring for the elderly, hardworking with flexibility and adaptability, reliable and cooperative, confident, efficient and proactive, computer literate with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
* Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care / Individual Support or equivalent.
* Minimum of 6 months experience in aged care or community care is essential.
* Current Australian driver's licence, own car and comprehensive insurance.
* Current National Police Clearance Certificate issued within less than the last 6 months, COVID and flu vaccine records, current and valid manual handling, medication administration, hand hygiene, infection control and first aid certificates.
* An understanding of Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Aged Care Code of Conduct.
