About the role
As a Support Coordinator / Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will work closely with recipients to navigate the NDIS and interpret their individual packages; it is your role to ensure they are getting the most out of their NDIS plans.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
supporting and empowering recipients to make their own choices as to how they want to lead their lives
coordinating a variety of services for recipients to support them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives within the community
engage with and manage recipient's key stakeholders (including government agencies, community and clinical service providers and families), you will ensure that the supports and services are leveraged, not duplicated
work with recipients to strengthen their ability to coordinate their own supports to live their best life.
About you
a genuine interest in mental health and the disability sector
a lived experience / working knowledge of the NDIS
experience adhering to KPI's
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
a commitment to best practice
experience working in a team environment
ability to quickly and effectively engage recipients
ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities & individuals
Role requirements
minimum 2 years' experience in the mental health sector
current nationally recognised first aid and CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)
a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
a roadworthy, registered and comprehensively insured car
a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate
