About the role
Eastern Health is currently looking for passionate and experienced Grade 3 Social Workers to join our Allied Health teams. These roles are to support as a senior clinician in our subacute wards, we have an exciting opportunity at our Wantirna site and one at our Peter James site.
This role provides service to our growing, innovative Social Work department. The role is supported by social work team and Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department.
These opportunities are available due to internal staff progression, we pride ourselves on cultivating a culture of learning, growth and improvement.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to lead complex discharge planning
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
