Machine Operator
Full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
Australian Textile Mills (ATM) is a premier Australian woven textile manufacturing company based in Wangaratta Victoria, leading the way in the manufacture and supply of innovative and decorative textiles, committed to providing premium fabrics for the military, emergency services and safety sector. Also providing quality blinds and moleskin fabrics.
We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to fill a position within our Quality and Laboratory Department.
The successful candidate will support quality assurance and laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with established standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Applicants with relevant qualifications, laboratory experience, and a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement are encouraged to apply.
Duties will include and not limited to:
Ensure the quality of all textiles meets specified internal and customer requirements
Conduct relevant laboratory testing on textiles in accordance with approved methods
Maintain the laboratory quality system in compliance with NATA requirements
Liaise with internal personnel regarding testing issues, particularly non-conforming or failed results
Ensure appropriate resources are available to support testing and colour-matching staff
Ensure accurate documentation and timely responses to quality claims
Follow up and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to completion
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Certificate III in Laboratory skill
Qualification in Chemistry or a Science-related discipline
Bachelor's degree in science
Relevant experience as skilled laboratories technicians.
Previous working experience within a laboratory environment preferability in Textiles
