Overview
Care Worker position at Silverchain Group in the Toowoomba area. We are looking for a person with at least 3 months experience in a similar professional role to join our team and help older community members maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
Provide home help services: general housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping.
Provide personal care services: getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed; assisting with medications; assisting with mobility and therapy goals; providing complex care for high care needs (e.g., dementia); providing social and emotional support; transporting clients to activities or appointments; supporting family carers.
Respect client privacy and dignity and foster positive relationships with clients and their families.

Award rate $32.74 per hour + Super + Paid kilometres

Requirements and Qualifications
A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
