Overview
Our client is a well-established and growing commercial organisation based in the Northern Rivers, seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead operational performance, drive efficiencies, and support the next phase of growth. This is a critical senior leadership role, reporting directly to the executive team and working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
The Opportunity
As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations while building scalable systems, processes, and teams that support sustainable growth. You’ll bring structure, clarity, and momentum, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This role will suit a commercially minded leader who enjoys improving how things work, leading people through change, and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and optimise end-to-end operational functions across the business
* Develop and implement operational strategies aligned to business objectives
* Drive efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
* Establish and monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational performance metrics
* Partner with the executive team to support growth, innovation, and risk management
* Ensure systems, processes, and governance frameworks are fit for purpose
About You
* Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within a commercial environment
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into action
* Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving operational change
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business
* Tertiary qualifications in business, operations, or a related field (desirable)
