About the role: Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to support the design, development, and implementation of solar systems.
The role will work closely with engineers, installers, and project managers to ensure systems meet Australian Standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
· Location: Gawler SA · Salary: Offered in range of $75k to $85k per superannuation per annum.
· Tenure: Full-time and ongoing Key Responsibilities include: Apply engineering principles and established techniques to support the design and development of solar PV and battery energy systems.
Prepare, review and maintain technical drawings, specifications, calculations and supporting documentation.
Conduct site assessments, system performance analysis and feasibility studies for solar installations.
Assist engineers with testing, commissioning, fault analysis and optimisation of renewable energy systems.
Monitor system performance and recommend technical improvements and system upgrades.
Ensure systems comply with Australian Standards, Clean Energy Council requirements, electrical regulations and WHS policies.
Liaise with engineers, electricians, project managers, suppliers and clients on technical matters.
Support project delivery by coordinating technical information and ensuring accurate implementation of approved designs.
To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following attributes: A highly relevant bachelor's degree in engineering or a higher qualification.
At least three years' experience (preferably more) in a discipline closely aligned with the solar energy industry.
Strong communication skills to ensure professional and effective client interactions.
Excellent time management skills.
Well-developed, verifiable people management capabilities.
The ability to work effectively under pressure.
High-level technical skills relevant to the role, including well-developed systems skills.
Ideally, strong knowledge of solar energy industry requirements and relevant emerging technologies.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
