About the role
Freight Link Couriers' is seeking a casual Forklift Operator to join our new team in Townsville. You will play a vital role in the efficient processing and distribution of goods within our busy logistics operation.
What you'll be doing
* Unloading and loading freight securely and safely using correct forklift techniques.
* Assisting with the preparation of freight for dispatch, including labelling and palletising
* Collaborating with the wider logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
* Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
* Loading and delivering small and bulk freight
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a forklifting or warehousing role (non-essential), ideally within the transport and logistics industry
* Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy items safely
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
* Reliability and punctuality
* Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
* A valid forklift license or the willingness to obtain one
* A commitment to upholding safety standards and environmental regulations
* A strong individual who will be sorting tyres when trucks are not to be unloaded
