About the Role
This is a fixed-term opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at the South Johnstone Mill. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the factory’s electrical and process control systems, ensuring plant reliability and operational efficiency.
Your contribution will be critical in minimising downtime through proactive maintenance, routine plant checks, and timely fault resolution. This position offers valuable exposure to industrial electrical and control systems within a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and process control equipment.
* Minimise equipment downtime through preventative maintenance and timely fault resolution.
* Operate and monitor computer-based control systems (basic computer literacy required).
* Read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and contribute to a safety-first culture.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments to support production needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanics Licence (or equivalent).
* Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
* Working at Heights qualification.
* High level of initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
