Reporting to the Shift Manager, we are currently looking to fill the role of Glass Worker based at our Geelong site. This is a permanent full-time position, and will ideally suit a hands-on, self-motivated person with experience in the manufacturing industry. Vacancies are available on both Day and Afternoon shift.

Shift Times:
* Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30am-3pm
* Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm-11pm
Salary Details:
* $32.86 to $38.82 per hour, depending on skills and experience, aligned with the Enterprise Agreement, plus shift loading where applicable.
Responsibilities:
* Cut float and laminated glass manually and using automated cutting machinery with precision and accuracy.
* Operate an overhead gantry crane safely for loading, unloading, and moving glass sheets and products.
* Operate, adjust, and inspect production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Use a forklift to lift, transport, load, and unload glass materials in line with safety procedures.
* Perform edging and polishing of flat glass to required quality and finish standards.
* Carry out manual handling and processing of glass products safely and efficiently.
* Consistently follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations, report hazards and maintain personal readiness for work.
* Participate in improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance workflows.
* Monitor production processes, record key data, and follow schedules and instructions to maintain quality standards.
* Conduct quality checks, document findings, and report defects to uphold product and regulatory standards.
* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment status, and safety or quality documentation.
Our ideal candidates will have:
* 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing or production environment.
* Hands-on experience with machinery or processes relevant to the industry (e.g. glass processing, cutting equipment, automated production lines).
* Relevant certifications in safety or manufacturing process are advantageous.
* Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, compliance requirements, or quality standards is beneficial.
* Ability to understand and follow detailed production schedules.
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet.
* Safety conscious mindset, and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
* Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a collaborative approach.
* Hands-on capability with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
