Empowering Young Women - A Job Opportunity to Make a Difference.
The role we are seeking to fill is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. This position will involve coordinating, administering and reporting on our Empowering Young Women programs in Bathurst, as part of our Community Pillar under the Empowering Young Women and Building Young Men program objectives. These programs include mentoring, mental health initiatives, and respectful relationships projects among others.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring that our department stays up-to-date with all aspects of the organization. Your duties may include but are not limited to:
* Program delivery of programs under the Building Young Man suite of programs in Bathurst
* Coordination with participating schools, as well as reporting on programs to both partner schools and Head of Foundation & Community Organization
* Organizing end-of-program celebrations and activities for Empowering Young Women programs
* Recruitment of schools, participants, and mentors for Empowering Young Women programs
* Development and maintenance of marketing materials and equipment for Empowering Young Women programs
* Conducting safeguarding, reporting, and expense budget management for Empowering Young Women programs
This is a part-time (2 days a week) fixed-term contract role, supported by funding from NSW Office of Sport. We are looking for someone with experience in youth work, social work, or a related field, who has strong organizational and time management skills, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Essential qualifications include a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the same or similar role/placement, a tertiary qualification in social work, youth mentoring, or other relevant area, current valid driver's license, valid paid NSW Working with Children Check, and current Sports First Aid (or equivalent) and CPR certification.
Desirable qualities include experience working in rugby league, sports clubs, or community sports environments, demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering disability, community, or school-based sports, familiarity with culturally inclusive practices and community engagement strategies, additional qualifications in youth services or social work, and experience in delivering school and/or community-based/mentoring activities.
