Job Title: Airport Security Attendant
Mackay Airport is the primary location for this exciting role, with the possibility of working across multiple sites.
Predominantly weekday shifts are available, with occasional weekend shifts to maintain a strong security presence.
The growth of our company in QLD has created new roles within our team, focusing on enhancing response and support capabilities for existing teams and clients.
This role is crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers.
It offers the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across various locations and positions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service solutions to visitors, contractors, and clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
* Proactively monitor CCTV and Access Control Systems to maintain a secure environment.
* Conduct regular building patrols to actively report and mitigate security and safety risks.
* Identify and report hazards and building faults for rectification, prioritizing the health and safety of staff and visitors.
* Provide support to tenants and facilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
* Manage contractors and deliveries through dock management, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
* Respond to emergency situations, applying first aid and CPR when necessary.
Requirements:
* Excellent customer service skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively.
* A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
* A willingness to support and step up as required into other roles, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
* An ability to work well in a team or autonomously, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
* An ability to work in a rotational roster (Nights/Days/Weekends), with a strong commitment to maintaining a consistent schedule.
* An Australian citizen or holder of unlimited work rights, with a valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* A demonstrated ability to prepare and write reports, with strong analytical and communication skills.
* A demonstrated ability in the use of computers and security-related systems (Access Control, CCTV, Microsoft Programmes).
* Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, days, and weekends, with a strong physical fitness level to perform tasks that require standing and walking for extended periods.
* Crowd control endorsement is highly desirable, but not essential for this role.
