Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our NSW warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations while leading a small team and managing logistics, inventory, and stakeholder relationships.
You will take full ownership of warehouse performance, including food safety, transport coordination, and team leadership, contributing to our mission of reducing food insecurity across Australia.
This is a Full-Time position Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and support warehouse staff and drivers
* Ensure compliance with food safety, Chain of Responsibility, and WHS requirements
* Coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance and asset management
* Develop rosters and ensure efficient workforce planning
* Maintain accurate records, reporting, and CRM systems
* Build and maintain relationships with donors and partners
* Monitor stock levels to minimise waste and optimise food recovery
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader role (3+ years)
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Experience in high-volume warehouse or logistics environments
* Knowledge of WHS, food safety, and transport compliance
* Excellent organisational and problem‐solving abilities
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Experience with Microsoft Office and warehouse/CRM systems
Licences & Requirements
* Forklift licence (required)
* HR licence (desirable or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks
