The Team:
* The Short Stay Suite is a component of the Perioperative Precinct and incorporates Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Holding Bay, Same Day Discharge (SDD), 19 bed Surgical Ward and a state-of-the-art standalone Endoscopy Suite.
* The Short Stay Suite is a face paced, high turnover unit which will provide you with many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing care skill sets.
* You will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
* The Short Stay Suite is seeking both surgical and endoscopy nurses to cover maternity leave with the potential to convert to permanency at the conclusion of the contract.
You will need
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
2. Ability to work independently and as a member of our multidisciplinary team
3. Advances assessment, problem solving and organisation skills
4. Previous experience in Surgical or Endoscopy Nursing

Details of appointment:
Multiple fixed term, full time or part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to twelve (12) months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
