Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Responsible Engineer to lead our chassis system design efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design and development of chassis systems, including suspension, steering, subframes, mounting systems, and associated structural components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of chassis systems from concept development through to release, validation, and production.
* Work closely with our CAD team to generate models, engineering drawings, and bill of materials to OEM standards.
* Own design releases, change management, and technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Purchasing, and Vehicle Dynamics.
* Conduct engineering analysis to support design decisions (DFMEA, tolerance studies, structural assessments, packaging studies).
* Support prototype builds, vehicle testing, and production launch activities.
* Provide technical leadership and ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and performance requirements.
* Liaise with suppliers and external partners to ensure feasibility, cost effectiveness, and quality of engineered solutions.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline.
* 4–8+ years of experience in chassis engineering, structural components, or vehicle systems design.
* A sound understanding of vehicle dynamics, structural engineering, and manufacturing methods.
* Proven experience managing design responsibility and release processes.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
* A passion for automotive innovation and delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.
