Continuing, Full Time Appointment

Professional Employee Level 7

Annual salary $96,559–$105,992 pa + 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave

About the Position

Academic and Research Librarians deliver a range of services in an online first environment providing the CDU community with information, research and instructional support aligned to the university's research, learning and teaching priorities. This role provides leadership and professional advice to ensure staff and students in designated faculties and TAFE disciplines are supported in the development and maintenance of skills and knowledge required for successful academic endeavors.

About You

To be successful, you will require:

* Degree in Library and Information Science with at least four (4) years of subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training which would allow professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
* Experience in the delivery of professional research and information services, contemporary knowledge of scholarly resources in all formats, and collection development principles and practices.
* Advanced digital literacy skills and experience in a wide range of electronic resources, systems and software used in a tertiary library environment.
* Experience in developing educational resources and materials using a range of technologies for delivery in an online-first environment.
* Experience in delivering training programs in areas such as information and/or digital literacy and research skills and knowledge and understanding of pedagogical models and best practices in student learning across higher education and TAFE.
* Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with professional and academic staff and students.
* Proven ability to lead and manage projects.
* Demonstrated experience in innovative leadership of specific library services and functions
* Commitment to the University's values

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 7. The base salary will be in the range of $96,559 - $105,992 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $112,974 - $124,010 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
