The Role
Reporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales to plan and expenses to budget within an existing client base. Will be assigned a territory in the Metro area and regional travel is also required. Demonstrating through the effective leadership of the sales force and the management of customer relationships.
Must be good at excel, reading sales reports, be able to build strong partnerships, good communication, prospect for new business, maintain existing business and a good sales background. May have some country work, so you would need to be available to stay away a couple of nights a month.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Monitoring and achieving all territory sales targets, and returns for credits and expenses
- Developing strategies and prospecting for new business
- Building strong business relationships with accounts
- Maintaining account standards
- Managing and coordinating merchandiser resources to attend revamps, new account installations and seasonal set up and pull downs
- Participating in product development and testing initiatives
- Maintaining compliance to workplace policies and procedures
- Country travel required (occasionally)
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous merchandising or retail experience
- A demonstrated ability to manage a work schedule
- A creative, innovative and positive attitude
- Good communication skills with an understanding of customer service
- Strong attention to detail and take pride in your work
- Excellent time management skills and be self-motivated
- The ability to work autonomously
- An understanding of the need for flexibility
- Intermediate computer skills
- A current driver's licence
