Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Traffic Controller to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and maintain safety across all industries. As a Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for directing and managing vehicular and pedestrian traffic, implementing traffic control plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and a strong commitment to public safety.
Responsibilities:
* Direct and control traffic flow at designated locations, including intersections, construction sites, and events.
* Conduct JSA and pre-start checks.
* Implement and enforce traffic control plans, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety guidelines.
* Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and coworkers to provide clear instructions and maintain a safe environment.
* Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as necessary to optimize traffic flow and minimize congestion.
* Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
* Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, including incident reports and equipment usage.
* Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
* Stay updated on traffic control regulations, industry best practices, and new technologies to enhance performance and safety.
Qualifications:
* Certification in traffic control, TC1, TMI 1 and TC2, TCI2 Traffic Control Certificates
* Proven experience as a Traffic Controller
* Strong knowledge of traffic control regulations, safety guidelines, and relevant equipment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
* Ability to make quick decisions and remain calm under pressure.
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
* Proficient computer skills to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
