. New permanent role for an experienced Physiotherapist/Senior Physiotherapist to join this regional health service. The location is based two hours from Canberra and four hours from Sydney. Open to Level 2 clinicians looking to step up into leadership. Ideally you will be available to start in July or August. Permanent role or long term contract (6-12 months) available.
Responsibilities
You will be the clinical lead for the team of 5 Physiotherapists and an Allied Health Assistant. Providing publicly funded physiotherapy services in a hospital setting to inpatients, outpatients and community patients.
Cover a Rural Generalist caseload across sub-acute ward in-patients (including rehabilitation, geriatrics and palliative care), acute ward, outpatients (paediatric to adult) and community patients in the area.
Paediatric experience preferred. The paeds caseload covers the equivalent of 1 day per week.
The role involves a clinical caseload and approx. 2 hours per day of management responsibilities this could include providing supervision, covering urgent referrals, caseload allocation, rostering, supervision, education.
You will provide supervision and support to 3 Physiotherapists, an allied health assistant and students.
Foster a positive flexible Physiotherapy team, facilitate education and quality improvement projects, represent Physio team in the MDT setting, monitor team workload and ensure adherence to output targets and KPIs.
Qualifications / Requirements
Senior Physiotherapist or experienced Physiotherapist looking to take a step up into leadership. Open to Level 2 clinicians stepping into leadership.
Availability to start in July or August.
Experience in rural generalist settings and paediatrics preferred.
Experience supervising and leading teams; ability to supervise 3 physiotherapists and an allied health assistant.
