Chef de Cuisine Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Chef, we are seeking a strong leader to assume the position of Chef de Cuisine in our fine-dining Italian restaurant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality and service levels meet the highest standards at all times. Key responsibilities include:
* Producing high-end food;
* Training and mentoring junior level chefs and apprentices;
* Supervising/managing large kitchen brigades of up to eight staff;
* Adapting to change and leading change processes as required; and
* Working collaboratively with the Resort team.
To succeed, candidates will need:
* Fine-dining experience, preferably in hatted restaurants;
* Knowledge of broad Italian cuisine;
* Experience making fresh pasta;
* Ability to present meals with flair in the dining room;
* Experience in cost control and menu creation; and
* A thorough knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
