With the Founder leading brand vision and product innovation, and a CEO driving global expansion, we are now building the commercial governance required to scale with discipline and confidence.

We are seeking a Commercial Manager – Product to own the commercial performance of our global portfolio.

This is a senior leadership role with clearly defined commercial authority. You will own pricing architecture, category profitability, inventory investment, forecast governance and go-to-market discipline — operating within agreed financial guardrails and escalating only strategic exceptions.

You will partner closely with the Founder and CEO, serving as the commercial counterbalance to product ambition.

Your mandate is clear: accelerate growth while strengthening margin and capital efficiency.

What You’ll Own

• Category-level revenue performance and contribution growth

• Portfolio pricing architecture and margin discipline

• Inventory turns, stock cover targets and working capital exposure

• Forecast governance and buy quantity approval

• Commercial approval of new product launches

• SKU rationalisation and portfolio mix optimisation

• Freight % and landed cost performance

• Structured global go-to-market discipline

• Elevating Category Managers into commercially accountable leaders

• Integrating market and sales insight into demand planning

• You will partner closely with the Founder and CEO, serving as the commercial counterbalance to product ambition.

• Accelerated category growth delivered within defined margin and capital guardrails

• Stronger sell-in to sell-through alignment across key markets

• Reduced forecast variance and improved inventory efficiency

• New product launches that convert into measurable revenue without complexity creep

• A product team operating with commercial ownership, not coordination

• Clear, disciplined commercial decision frameworks embedded across the business

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Proven experience owning a multi-category portfolio with full commercial accountability

• Demonstrated ability to scale a branded consumer product business

• Experience balancing revenue growth with margin and working capital discipline

• Strong background in category management, retail commercial leadership or product-led environments

• Highly analytical, commercially decisive and comfortable making hard calls

• Strong leader capable of lifting standards and building accountability

Highly Valued

• Experience in fishing, outdoor or adjacent enthusiast categories

• Experience in fast-growth or founder-led businesses

• Exposure to international markets and global supply chain strategy

This Brisbane-based role includes domestic and international travel, including the US.
