About the Role
Taxation Accountant
As a Taxation Accountant, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients and provide expert tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. You'll collaborate closely with individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts to ensure accurate, compliant, and proactive tax strategies that help clients achieve their financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, review, and lodge income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
* Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, GST, and PAYG statements in line with ATO requirements.
* Provide tax planning, compliance, and structuring advice to clients.
* Conduct tax reconciliations, working papers, and year-end reporting.
* Advise clients on business structures, capital gains, and tax minimisation strategies.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
* Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, and Australian Accounting Standards.
* Liaise directly with clients and build strong professional relationships.
