National Account Manager – Coles

PMFresh is seeking an exceptional National Account Manager – Coles to lead, influence and grow our partnership with Coles Group at a national level.
This is a high-impact, senior commercial role with full P&L ownership and responsibility for delivering sustainable growth across Fresh Convenience, Salads, Ready-to-Eat and Snacking.
About the Role
The National Account Manager – Coles is the senior commercial lead responsible for shaping and driving PMFresh's end-to-end strategy, performance and partnership with Coles nationally.
You will:
* Own and manage the total Coles P&L
* Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP)
* Drive category growth and innovation
* Guide cross-functional execution across the business
This role plays a pivotal part in the long-term strategic direction of PMFresh's Coles business.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the senior voice of the customer internally, influencing strategy and business planning.
* Set and execute the multi-year commercial strategy aligned to PMFresh's corporate plan.
* Lead annual Joint Business Planning (JBP), defining growth pathways and shared priorities.
* Act as primary relationship owner across Buying, Category, Quality, Supply Chain and Executive stakeholders.
* Influence capex, NPD resourcing and operational investment decisions based on long-term commercial impact.
* Own the total Coles P&L including sales, gross margin, trade spend and profitability.
* Lead commercial negotiations covering trading terms, pricing, promotional strategy and long-range commitments.
* Identify margin expansion opportunities across mix, cost optimisation, innovation and supply chain.
* Drive robust forecasting, scenario planning and performance reporting to Executive leadership.
3. Customer & Category Leadership
* Shape category strategy across salad kits, bowls, fruit, snacking and ready-to-eat.
* Provide insight-led recommendations to strengthen PMFresh's thought-leadership position.
* Leverage data, shopper insights and market trends to unlock growth.
* Champion the Coles innovation pipeline from concept to launch.
* Lead cross-functional collaboration (PD, Technical, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations).
* Ensure innovation is commercially viable and operationally executable.
5. Reporting, Insights & Digital Enablement
* Deliver accurate sales, margin and forecast reporting.
* Monitor competitor activity and consumer shifts.
* Ensure strong commercial governance and compliance.
What Success Looks Like
* Achievement of revenue, margin and profitability targets
* Delivery of joint business plans and category objectives
* Optimised trade spend ROI and forecasting accuracy
* Strengthened executive-level customer partnership
About You
* 3+ years in FMCG/retail commercial leadership
* Significant experience managing major supermarket customers (Coles experience highly regarded)
* Proven ownership of a complex national P&L
* Strong commercial negotiation and strategic planning capability
* Advanced category analysis and growth strategy design skills
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
* A genuine passion for food and fresh innovation
* Experience in fresh or chilled food manufacturing
* Knowledge of Coles systems (Supplier Portal, Supplier Central)
* Exposure to private label manufacturing and NPD processes
