The role of Purchasing Officer is to source raw materials, coordinate deliveries, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical and financial literacy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key responsibilities include:
* Procurement & Supplier Management – Source raw materials, coordinate deliveries, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
* Inventory Control – Ensure stock levels align with demand while maintaining accurate inventory data.
* Cost Management – Work closely with Finance to analyze material costs and negotiate the best pricing.
* Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline procurement and minimize inefficiencies.
The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including Sales, Production, R&D, and Quality, to ensure smooth operations. A Degree in a related discipline is desirable. Australian work rights are required.
