Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. Our Renal Ambulatory Care Service is seeking to engage an Administration Officer (AO3) on a 5 days per fortnight assignment located at Nepean Hospital. The incumbent will be part of the Renal Dialysis team. The role is responsible for the coordination of administrative duties associated with the Renal Dialysis Units and Renal Ambulatory Care Clinic as well as other administrative support to Renal Service clinicians.
As the Administration Officer, you will ensure the correctness of information when entering and maintaining data in the electronic patient information systems (iPM and PBRC). The candidate will also be working with the district's billing system, utilising spreadsheets for data entry/recording, and managing the clinic appointment diary in iPM. Your customer service and client management skills are key in your relations with with Renal patients both in person and via the telephone as well as in liaising with medical practitioners and health professionals when required.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Demonstrated experience in document tracking systems such as HPRM and experience in data entry using electronic systems such as iPM, PAS, etc
* Demonstrated effective Customer Service skills
* Advanced computer skills using the Microsoft office suite of products including outlook appointments, database
* Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills including preparation and distribution of agendas and minute taking and typing of medical letters
* Demonstrated ability to learn new processes, ability to be flexible and display initiative
* Demonstrated experience in working in a multidisciplinary team and with senior medical and nursing staff
* Demonstrated organisational / time management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision under pressure, meet tight timeframes and manage competing demands
