What You'll Be Doing
As a core member of our backend engineering team, you'll be instrumental in bringing new ideas to life, from concept to deployment.
* Develop engaging new features and user interfaces based on design concepts and business requirements.
* Write and deliver high-quality, secure, reliable, testable, and efficient code.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues (sometimes you're the hero in a cape).
* Provide technical support when needed - in and out of business hours.
The Toolkit: What You Bring to the Table
You're a versatile developer who thrives across the whole stack and loves solving complex problems.
Must-Have Superpowers:
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience: 2+ years of professional experience designing and developing software solutions.
* Microsoft Mastery: Strong commercial experience with C# and deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including:
* .Net Core
* REST APIs
* WebForms
* Database Whisperer: 2+ years of hands-on experience with transactional databases ( MySQL and/or SQL Server ).
* Cloud Commander: Hands-on experience with cloud frameworks like AWS .
* Team Player: Excellent communication skills to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
* OO Savvy: A solid understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) concepts and practices.
* Grit: Ability to perform well under pressure and a strong desire to learn and implement new technologies quickly.
* Physicality: Must be able to attend our office in Caulfield North in person two days a week.
Bonus Points (The \"Nice-to-Haves\"):
* Experience tinkering with AI technologies.
* The desire to build and improve our CI/CD pipelines.
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools, specifically Terraform .
