Our client, a leading organisation in its field, is looking to add a Payroll Support Specialist to assist with payroll functions and new employee onboarding within Visipay. This pivotal role ensures accurate payroll processing for approximately 90 weekly employees, including casual and full-time staff, in a dynamic work environment. Key responsibilities include supporting payroll processing using Visipay and Kronos time and attendance systems, onboarding new employees, and assisting in payroll administration under the guidance of the Payroll and Finance Manager. The role requires a hands-on approach with payroll data entry, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of pay, all while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Required Skills:
* Proven experience with payroll processing, preferably in Visipay or similar payroll systems
* Familiarity with Kronos time and attendance software
* Strong proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to process changes
Nice to Have Skills:
* Previous HR onboarding experience
* Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
* Experience working with hourly or weekly employee data
Preferred Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional HR or payroll certifications are a plus
* At least 1-2 years of payroll processing experience
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with weekly payroll cycles
Other Requirements:
* Flexibility to work in-office 5 days
* Ability to support payroll functions until the end of April, when the organization transitions to a standard payroll solution
* Willingness to assist with onboarding tasks and support a small team
* This position reports directly to Payroll and Finance Manager
