Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Building Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting site inspections, preparing scopes of work and cost estimates, and liaising with insurers and subcontractors.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have proven experience in estimating and supervising repair works, particularly in the insurance repair sector. You will be required to interpret scopes of work and work with building codes and regulations. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site inspections to assess damage and quantify repair requirements
* Prepare detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for insurance repair jobs
* Liaise with insurers, policyholders and subcontractors/trades to coordinate the repair process
* Plan, schedule and supervise on-site works, ensuring high-quality outcomes
* Monitor and manage job progress, including variations, timelines and budget
* Uphold WHS standards and ensure all site safety requirements are met
