Technical Advisory Role in Building Industry
The role will contribute to the continuous improvement of building standards and compliance in Victoria through the provision of education and training material. Specifically, this position involves deep diving into codes and regulations to create and present education and training guidance to industry, by way of webinars, industry seminars, short training videos etc.
Reporting to the relevant manager, this role will support the implementation and/or ongoing delivery of nominated projects to achieve the organization's strategic goals and responsibilities under the Building Act.
* Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance.
This role requires a Building Surveyor with significant experience practising as a Building Surveyor, who is able to provide expert technical advice in the delivery of state building surveyor functions, with a focus on the delivery of training and education.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of the Victorian building industry and regulatory framework, including the Building Act, Building Regulations and National Construction Code, and other relevant legislation.
