This is an excellent opportunity to join Australia's largest diversified property group, Stockland, as a Government and Stakeholder Relations Consultant. This role can be based out of Sydney or Brisbane
**About the Role**
Reporting to the General Manager Government Relations, the role is designed to shape the way the organisation engages with Government and key stakeholders in an issues rich policy environment. The role will lead and execute strategy that supports the planning approval, delivery and operation of projects across all Stockland business units. The role will also work intimately with media relations in pre-empting and managing projects and project stakeholder issues.
Working across all business units, this role will enable engagement with a variety of stakeholders and includes exposure to high end level projects including our nationally recognised sustainability projects. Within an inclusive and collaborative team culture, this role requires an adaptable individual who is able to work independently and thrive juggling priorities across multiple projects and developments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute government and stakeholder relations strategies and communications collateral
- Build relationships and develop a network of key stakeholders
- Provide advice and council to senior management and executives
- Assess regulatory and political risk and pre-empt project issues
- Contribute to the wider Stakeholder Relations team.
**About You**
- Proven experience working in advisory roles in Government, stakeholder engagement roles and/or corporate communications in a property sector, infrastructure, or consulting environment;
- Demonstrated experience in the development of complex stakeholder engagement strategies
- Strong understanding of the complexity of stakeholder environments relating to property, infrastructure or other land-use projects
- Understanding of the legislative process and capacity to assess political environments
- Demonstrated capability to work on multiple and complex projects with tight deadlines;
- Strong ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
